Hello,

When I import a scanned film image into Lightroom I want to apply lens profiles to the tiff file (16 bit if that makes any difference)

However if I select profile in the Lens correction tab there is no Leica M option, not even greyed out. Just a list of mobile phone manufacturers & Nikon (say no more)

I know there are profiles installed because if I select a digital M10 file, I can select Leica M and then many different lenses

Obviously I realise there is no EXIF to say its a Leica file and assume there must be a way to allow the choice

Thanks

You don't say which Leica lens, but for all those which normally exhibit massive distortion and vignetting I have to correct this in Lightroom itself by logging in as 'editor'. However I understand the common fault with Leica cameras and lenses, the 'Italian Flag effect', is limited to digital cameras which is why film cameras don't need an EXIF file, or so I've been told.

So unfortunately I think the answer is no.

I tried on one of my own scanned images. I used the Lenstagger LR plugin to manually insert camera and lens model to the EXIF. I also tried to convert the TIFF file to DNG. But I couldn't fool LR into thinking the photo was taken with a Leica lens so that it appeared in the profile list. So unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a simple solution to this.
