brickftl Posted February 6, 2024 Share #1 Posted February 6, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) wondering what's your experience using AF-C tracking on the Q3. Would you use it combined with center point focus to nail a subject during street shooting, as opposed to AF-S?
Advertisement Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 Hi brickftl, Take a look here Q3 - tracking AF. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Le Chef Posted February 6, 2024 Share #2 Posted February 6, 2024 I wouldn’t use it. If someone is moving then I prefer to shoot manual focus and pan or zoom to the spot where I anticipate them being. (Insert Wayne Gretzky quote here:)
mholeica Posted February 6, 2024 Share #3 Posted February 6, 2024 I use AFc and face/eye tracking majority of the time in non crowded areas, this is to shoot photos of my children. When it is too crowded and Face/eye detection gets too jumpy then I use field and move it to where I want focus to be. I would say 99% of the time the focus is spot on.
