Pelu2010 Posted January 31, 2024 Share #1 Posted January 31, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey, can we agree that it would be very helpful if the sl2-s could connect with the usb-c cable to Leica fotos app? remote shooting and transfer would be well received , wouldn’t it? I would love to see this in the next firmware update. I just played around with the q3 and with this camera it works. it would also help so much for video production …. cheers Peter 1

Both devices are usb-c with data bandwidth…
Photoworks Posted February 1, 2024 Share #4 Posted February 1, 2024 Just now, Filip Baraka said: What would be hardware deal breakers for this to work? Both devices are usb-c with data bandwidth… Fotos app is limited by a MiFi chip that M11 and Q3 can handle over the Apple protocol. Sl2 does not have it, It only has a PTP connection. It is not a big deal for me since I use the Capture One app more than the Fotos app. BTW all MiFi cables from Apple are limited to USB 2.0 speed (480MBs), and this makes it slower than 5Ghz Wifi. Technology is moving fast, I think the biggest needed change is for the Fotos app to accept PTP connection and allow real USB-c 3.1 speeds (20GBs) Capture One mobile is missing a few controls like Live view, but you can use tether at full speed over any USB-C cable. I hope this company keeps working on this, they just fired so much staff.
