Stefan_9 Posted January 24, 2024 Share #1 Posted January 24, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey hey, i just got my Leica M9 with CCD ID 15 and only 15k shuttercount. After shooting a while i recognized some weird highlights when shooting againts the sun. Does anybody know what the problem could be? When shooting in landscape orientation, the white line is vertical - shooting in portrait orientation, the line is horizontal. Also another image with a blue/green line... cheers, Stefan Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Hi Stefan_9, Take a look here Leica M9 Sensor Problem?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted January 24, 2024 Share #2 Posted January 24, 2024 Completely normal for the sensor type blooming . See the M FAQ. It is what CCDs do… The green stripe is slightly different it is not quite straight and not defined on pixel level That suggests flare There is another green stripe possible. That is when a bright highlight on the edge of the sensor leaks onto the calibration sensels. More common on the M8 than the M9
