While using M11-P today with a 28mm and 35mm lens, I noticed that top line frame looks obstructed not continuous. Also noticed that the digital display looks kind out of focus. I check with another unit M10R and the lines are continuous and the digital display looks in focus. on the 50mm I do not see this issue. I checked the lens were correctly connected and also while manually adjusting the bayonet, I can also see the issue with the 28mm and 35mm line.

It may require service but want to check if other have seen this and if this may be a common issue.

The attached picture is for viewfinder with the 28mm line frame.

Thanks

The frameline issue cannot be linked to the lens and requires service by Leica. Possibly a skewed prism.
The display looking “kind of out of focus” can only be explained by a decentered lens. Did the camera suffer a fall?

I had the same issue with my M11 six weeks after I bought it from MPB. They wouldn‘t offer me an exchange and had to send it to Leica service. Four months later it still hasn‘t come back, so MPB finally gave me an exchange M11.

another tale of how shitty Leica service is…

It is both discouraging and unfortunate that we keep hearing things like this.

When a person spends $9000+ on a camera, they clearly deserve better service from Leica  IMHO.  😢
