marknorton Posted November 24, 2007 Share #2 Posted November 24, 2007 What happens? Does the yellow light come on?
stunsworth Posted November 24, 2007 Share #3 Posted November 24, 2007 This may sound a bit patronising, but assuming they are meant as Leica M substitute batteries, then yes, if they're not changing I expect you do. What's the alternative?
jaapv Posted November 24, 2007 Share #4 Posted November 24, 2007 Are they really not charging ? If you mean that the camera won't show the three bars for full that is fairly normal for aftermarket batteries. You can correct that (for one or a few times) by fully discharging them in the camera and then recharging. It seems the latest firmware is a bit more forgiving of off-brand bastteries. Shootist Posted November 24, 2007 Share #5 Posted November 24, 2007 Hello! I bought 2 Impact brand batteries from B+H. They don't want to charge in the Leica charger. Do I need to send them back? Help! Thanks -rob What do you mean by "They Won't Charge In The Leica Charger". Do you mean that the yellow light on the charger doesn't come on OR that after they are done charging and you put them in the camera they show ONLY one bar on the camera battery meter. If it's the second then that is fairly normal with ALL aftermarket batteries. You have to FULLY DRAIN them IN the CAMERA, Zero bars showing and camera shuts OFF, before you recharge them. Then they will show a full charge. I know I have 2 of these batteries. BUY REAL Leica batteries.
