jed Posted January 6, 2024 Share #1  Posted January 6, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, Here's a Leica IIIB I own - top plate is obviously post war, like covering and base plate. No synch flash added... Weird. That camera was once again in the factory for conversion (or repair ?). Minor improvement... I've added a Tiranty IIIb for comparison.  Welcome, dear visitor! jed Posted January 8, 2024 Author Share #6  Posted January 8, 2024 According to Leica that camera was in the factory (unknown reason) on july, 7, 1960.
jerzy Posted January 8, 2024 Share #7 Â Posted January 8, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I believe that not only post war brake was implemented but as well the whole shutter has been replaced. I doubt that any third party repair shop would be able to do it so it is very probable that the repair was done at Leitz in 1960. It is only the second IIIb with DBP and GMBH that I have seen.
