Dear Good Leica User Forum friends and users

I hope you don't mind me referring to it, but I recently published a blog post of my first week with the Leica M10 Monochrom (which was in fact back in June 2023, the 3rd week in of Prairial in my photo project). As I mention in the blog, it has become (possibly) my favourite ever digital camera, though I am currently parted with it due to me dropping it, and it being repaired by Leica. Looking back at the photos I took with it during my first (10 day, it's the French Republican calendar) week's use of it, I am even more in love. Anyone interested, please take a look here:

And a couple of the photos below

Thanks

Nick

I acquired my first Monochrom, the M9M, on close-out when the M240 mono was announced and have shot almost exclusively with it since then despite having an ME and various Canon cameras. Coincidentally, I too have just acquired an M10M and am very pleased with it. It has all the benefits of the M9M but in a more refined package.

I opted against the M11M mostly because I feared 60mpx without IBIS would proved too sensitive to handheld shooting at slower shutter speeds.  The cost savings was an added but much appreciated benefit as well.

Congrats on your purchase. If my experience w the M9M is any indication, we’re both in for many years of satisfying photography.
