Some good news from NJ: 6bit coding wait (no longer)

I left my 3 lenses (75 Lux, 50 Lux, 21 Elmarit) with Kindermann in Toronto last week in October to be 6bit coded. Week later Gery told me they were sent out (first week of November). Today I called just out of boredom to check the status: they came back this morning (all 3:) :) )... I am not sure if they were sent out to Germany (as someone suggested on this forum- I doubt, and Gery confirmed), but in any case this was FAST...

I knew waiting in the wings would payoff eventually.

I'd like to get my 5 lenses in to NJ ASAP for coding and some Leica TLC.

 

Does anyone know if i should request specific adjustments to my Lux and Noct to be even hapier with my M8?

If you request any type of service on the lens it will more then likely have to go back to Solms. At least that has been my experience. The wait could be 5 weeks to 3 months from the time they are sent to Germany, IE not when you sent them to NJ.

Hopefully they will at least lubricate the lenses in NJ.

 

Well, I cant wait to finally wipe this Sharpie residue off my glass once and for all.
