jrethorst Posted November 24, 2023 Share #1  Posted November 24, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just upgraded my macOS and need to find a new photo app. I'm trying to stay away from Adobe and its subscription model, and have read good things about Darktable. Has anyone used it very much with Digilux 2 RAW files?

01maciel Posted December 20, 2023 Share #4 Â Posted December 20, 2023 To answer the author's question a little late, the question of whether the camera is supported at all needs to be clarified. This is answered in the affirmative under the URL https://www.darktable.org/resources/camera-support/. darktable requires you to familiarise yourself with it properly. But then the whole spectrum of the application opens up. If you just want to move a few sliders back and forth, you can do that too. Otherwise, there is nothing to stop you spending money on image editing software.
jon595 Posted January 23, 2024 Share #5  Posted January 23, 2024 Very late reply to this topic, but I've been using darktable for all of my processing and library management for years now after ditching Adobe's subscription model. It can be daunting at first, but there are plenty of youtube tutorials and it can be as simple or as complex as you want to make it. I've used it for processing raw files from Nikon, Fuji, Olympus, Sony and Leica and have been very happy with it overall.
