Yes the actual resolution is 3600, up to 7200 is interpolation that only makes the files bigger to ‘fatten’ then for printing in larger sizes, so depending on the size of print you want you may well not see much improvement from 1200. I’m very sceptical that iSRD works with silver base films to the point I’d say they are lying.

That is a great photo of the man in the park.

The manufacturer claims 7200 but, I believe, that the actual (realizable) maximum is 3600—so use that setting.

Regarding ISRD: if I recall correctly, ISRD will not work with traditional panchromatic films because the base is too thick. Color films  (or panchromatci films that utilize color film coating technologies) might be the exception. I use Affinity for post processing and it has numerous healing brushes that will easily handle most of the scratches and other imperfections that you may encounter. I’m sure that other softwares are also adequate to the task.

Thanks!

In response to the contribution of "jensthoes" I was wondering if he would be willing to share his experiences with the Heidelberg Topaz 2 with me. I am in the process of acquiring a Topaz 2 and I am eager to know more about this amazing machine. Would you be willing to share your knowledge? Thanks in advance for your reply.
