Advertisement Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Hi rubenkok, Take a look here One day at the Lotus dealer. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted November 19, 2007 Share #2 Posted November 19, 2007 Ruben - Your angles show off the Elise to its greatest advantage, and that was an excellent idea to shoot down into the interior.
elansprint72 Posted November 19, 2007 Share #3 Posted November 19, 2007 Hey! In the UK you just would not see Europas (2) and an Elite in the modern Lotus dealership- they simply do not know anything about them and don't keep many parts. We have to use a very good network of independent classics specialists. Nice set showing a variety of cars. Is this Holland? They have a very active club over there. I got my Elan back from the body-shop last Friday, now looks even better than before. And it passed it's test today! :D

biglouis Posted November 22, 2007 Share #6 Posted November 22, 2007 Great collection of pictures. Like most males of my generation I lusted after the Elan until I actually took a drive in one and almost put my back out :-) Very impressive shots for a Digilux-1 which only goes to proove it is the photographer and not the camera. elansprint72 Posted November 22, 2007 Share #7 Posted November 22, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) BIG, Next time you are up North (where it is grim) give me a shout and you can have another ride in the world's best car. btw, my bad back was caused by crashing out of bike races, not driving the Elan. andybarton Posted November 23, 2007 Share #9 Posted November 23, 2007 THe silver Europa is very nice - and a very good photograph of it too. It was my first ever Matchbox car with Superfast wheels. Must have been about 1971.
Guest flatfour Posted November 24, 2007 Share #10 Posted November 24, 2007 An Elite. They were very quick cars on the track. But back when they were first built they didn't know how to stabilise the colour in the resin so that the exposed rear strut mounts cracked and split with the obvious result. Apparently it was due to the ultra violet in sunlight decomposing the dye. So buy a white one.
