is anyone out there having problems with the capture one LE on 10.5 on mac?

i could not install it on mine.

and yes the leica software crashes, and since it is written by phase i wonder if C1 is also having that problem.

I am using both 3.7.7 C1LE and 4.0 Beta 2 with no problems on Leopard 10.5.1

I had ordered a family pack of Leopard but they sent me a single user version instead and charged me for that. As it had been forwarded to me while I was immobile in South Africa after a knee replacement, not a lot I could do to rectify the mistake. However it seems to install in all my Macs with no problems - their error - my gain.

If the tethered software is updated, it would be nice to have the time-lapse facility like they had on the Digilux 2.

Hello,

I know it is an old thread but perhaps someone will respond... Has there been any fix to the Leica Capture software and C1 LE / Leopard issue?

I recently wiped my drive wanting to start clean. I loaded Leopard and it is up-to-date.

1. the Leica Capture software installed; but crashes right away when launched

2. C1 LE won't even install; it crashes right away. I checked P1's website and downloaded the C1 LE 3.7.5, which is the latest version of LE, but it crashes during the install.

Any feedback and help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Gilles

Gilles,

In spite of promises it was being worked on, there is no update for tethered shooting from leica for Leopard - another disappointment. There are various work arounds, e.g. declaring an IP address for the M8 or using Aperture 2 but there are both a bit clunky.

If you got C1LE with your M8, you are entitled to a free update to C1-V4 (the latest version 4.1.2 came out a few days ago). If you search on Capture's website you should find a fix for the crashing 3.7 issue on Leopard. I cannot remember what it is but it is quite a simple fix to do with image generation. If you get crashing on C1V4, you simply delete the .col file in the Capture One Library in Pictures and reopen. Once you get the hang of C1V4 (watch their 30 minute video, which is excellent), you will find it is a great improvement on 3.7.7. If you are still having trouble, C1/P1's help team is really responsive and has always sorted any problem I have had in 24 hours.
