Leica thumb support and function button

Hello - I have a new Leica brand thumb support for my Q3. When I install the support and push it to its stopping point, the left function button is in the depressed position thus stopping camera use. To use the thumb support, and the camera,  I must pull the thumb support back a tiny amount to release the (left) function button. Tiny amount as in a mm or less, but this seems like a design flaw.

Has anyone else experienced this with the Leica Brand thumb support?

You have a faulty unit. Return the one and ask for another one.
 

The right button is a bit lower than the left so they feel different. But not to the point the camera doesn’t work. Certainly not normal

the behavior OP describes is not normal though and should be exchanged by your dealer

I agree with the comments above; you must have a faulty grip - mine fits beautifully and the two function buttons work superbly. It’s a (normally) stunningly tactile and comfortable grip, an essential accessory in my opinion! Send it back!

Agree...faulty unit...send it back for replacement.  That should not be happening at all.
