darylgo Posted October 28, 2023 Share #4 Posted October 28, 2023 (edited) The M60 has a square cutout, also looks much better, never adopted for other M's. Notice the square cutout for the rangefinder adjustment, much cleaner than a slot. @Kwesi no lugs. Edited October 28, 2023 by darylgo 2
Kwesi Posted October 28, 2023 Share #5 Posted October 28, 2023 True but with the M11 you have 2 rounds including the adjustment “screw” cover, and 2 rectangles. I have to say the M60 implementation is much more elegant. It’s a pity they didn’t adopt it. I wish they would go back to the tiny screw cover of the M9 and prior bodies. 1

They didn't adopt the design and they never again used stainless steel for a body, it was a very difficult material according to one source. It's a high quality stainless steel and never fingerprints unlike my equally expensive refrigerator that never met a fingerprint it didn't like. This one is also beautiful. @Kwesi no lugs. That’s because it has a lacquer finish over the stainless steel… (yes I have two 🙄)
jaapv Posted October 29, 2023 Share #9 Posted October 29, 2023 Especially as the brightness sensor has an essential function for the TTL flash and EXIF. Maybe the camera would. look even better without the rangefinder patch window? 15 minutes ago, Jewl said: I don‘t understand the initial idea of the thread. At least how the subject fits the answers. It's a beautiful finish and camera that gets little love, I use mine when I want the film experience without processing, scanning and storage of film. Two? I am guessing there is an interesting story here, if you care to elaborate. To the OP, apologies if this thread might go sideways a bit.
