davidmknoble Posted July 1, 2024 Share #21 Posted July 1, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I’ve used all the monochroms. Iyouve been shouting images a long time. What I heard in part was the post production. Opposite of black and white film you expose for highlights. So pulling the shadow slider way up is expected. Pulling back just slightly on blacks brings the darkest back. I prefer using the curves to target the gray tones I want to. great shots! My advice is play with editing. Start with tone sliders and consider the curve tool. Make virtual copies and play until you get the feel of the files. Different from the color sensors the monichroms have a lot more to give in shadow detail. If back of the camera looks a little dark it’s like right on but watch the histogram to be sure you aren’t blowing important highlights. Without RgB there is no detail once gone.
