Dear All,

do you have any experience with this combo using godox flash lamps (e.g. AD100 Pro)?

I sent a message to Godox customer care and the reply is reported below:

"Hello.
Unfortunately, since SL2-S is not a compatible model it might only work in manual or not at all.
Regards.

It seems that godox trigger works with SL2 (manual only) but not with SL2-S (very strange).

Any experience?

Thanks and kind regards

Andrea

Godox has some standard replays.

SL2 works well with newer godox Flash, the exception is the AD200Pro which has a banding issue in HHS, and all the flashes have the latest firmware.

In my opinion the SL2-s is the same camera as SL2 , but maybe someone can confirm it.

only the M cameras only the M10 cameras have been tested to work. No 240, no M11.

Q2 camera works too.

I use the Godox XL II trigger (L version) on an SL2 with two AD200Pro strobes on a regular basis without any problem. The strobes work in TTL/Manual/HSS and multisynch modes. I find that the strobes occasionally fail to fire when shooting rapidly with the flash set at greater than 1/4 power (presumably because of heat build-up). Two other issues I've worked through when setting up the strobes/trigger are setting the working distance correctly (I use mine mainly for tabletop/macro photography) and using freshly charged rechargeable batteries in the trigger. Otherwise, I randomly get a frame that shows evidence of banding at the bottom of the frame with 1/250 sec shutter speed.

All-in-all, I find the Godox products to work well and provide a reasonably priced option for my work. Note, I also have three Leica SF60s and the Leica SF C1 trigger that also works well but costs significantly more.

Hello, I decided to purchase the godox xproII L together with the godox AD100 Pro. The combo works very well in Manual and TTL. I cannot find HSS and the menu SYNC never appears.

Any kind suggestion?

THanks a lot and kind regards

Andrea

Andrea,

Sorry to miss your message earlier.  HSS is automatic in both TTL and manual mode. If you adjust your shutter speed, it takes effect.

Hi there, I do have that combo - it will not work in HSS.
I think the max shutter speed is 1/320, if you go any faster the flash won't trigger.

The Xpro II L coupled with and AD200Pro works at 1/8000 in manual and TTL. Just confirmed it in test shots. The issue might be the AD100Pro.
