Q2ER Posted September 24, 2023 Share #1 Posted September 24, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) It feels like the upper right corner of the rear screen on my M10 is loose. when I push it sometimes it ticks like it’s a little gap. It doesn’t effect the use of the camera but I’m afraid it could cause moisture to damage the camera. Anyone else had this problem? Could it cause greater damage? I don’t care about the screen I would have a m10-d if I found one for a decent price.

mort linder Posted September 27, 2023 Share #3 Posted September 27, 2023 (edited) i have an M8 where the screen actually came off . i like to use screen protectors , and in this case i have used a black photographic tape which is like masking tape . i cut thin strips and put i along the edge of the screen after putting on a screen protector . i have also done this on some other cameras just for protection or to keep the screen protector on . Q2ER Posted September 29, 2023 Author Share #4 Posted September 29, 2023 The real question might be how is the screen connected? Is it laying “outside” of the camera with a small connection plug or is it open underneath so dust and moisture could get in to the camera and cause some real damage? Actually it’s been good for a while now maybe it clicked in to place? I checked with Leica and the repair cost will be almost half of the price of a new (used) M10.
