Especially staff turning screwdrivers - My interactions with both intake and shipping have been exemplary.

I know this is only anecdotical:

When I last was at Wetzlar, I asked about a mechanical problem one of my lenses had. A person with a screwdriver looked at it and I got it back half an hour later, fully cured and without having to pay anything.

When I sent my camera to Wetzlar, it took them five days between recieving the parcel and registering it for repair. When I got the notice that the repair was finished it took them 10 days until they sent the parcel back to me.

After all it looks as if Customer Care is not only lacking people with screwdrivers but also people who do the mundane handling.

Well, It was very easy to send stuff to Germany I had no issues, I've done it like 20 times, so yeah, brexit is to blame in this case.

I have a long list of things to blame on Brexit, but even if you lived in Stuttgart it would generally take Leica months to fix anything major these days. Having to go via Leica UK to avoid customs problems rather than sending it to Wetzlar directly may add a few days to the process, but it's not really the major cause of the delays.
