capturedby.lumo Posted September 14, 2023 Share #1 Posted September 14, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey, I just bought a camera lens on ebay for my Digilux 3 (MFT MOUNT). The original Lens that I got with the camera was 72mm in diameter, now i bought a 58mm lens (M. ZUIKO Digital ED 40-150mm f4.0-5.6 R). I thought that the diameter doesnt matter since its still an MFT MOUNT but its to small. I can‘t return it, so is there any adapter that lets me use this lens on my camera? Kind Regards

pegelli Posted September 14, 2023 Share #2 Posted September 14, 2023 I think a Digilux 3 is FT (Four Thirds), not MFT (Micro Four Thirds). There are adapters to use FT lenses on a MFT body, but not the other way around because the sensor to mount distance of FT is larger than for MFT. capturedby.lumo Posted September 14, 2023 Author Share #3 Posted September 14, 2023 Would this adapter work? https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B008MXY6IY/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1638&creative=19454&creativeASIN=B008MXY6IY&linkCode=as2&tag=ft-adapter-

Its actually the other way around, so there should be one like this right? https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B008MXY6IY/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1638&creative=19454&creativeASIN=B008MXY6IY&linkCode=as2&tag=ft-adapter-
pegelli Posted September 14, 2023 Share #5 Posted September 14, 2023 Those adapters are Fuji X, not FT or MFT so won't help you. If the lens you bought is MFT there's no way to fit it on an FT camera without losing infinity focus.

I dound this adapter on this website: https://www.steffenhopf.de/four-thirds/objektivadapter-four-thirds-an-mft-systeme/ On there it says that it fits and if you look at a mft mount and a ft lens it looks like it could fit even tho it says its for fujifilm cameras. And no the Digilux 3 has an MFT Mount and the Lens I bought is for FT Mounts, so basically there should be an adapter.

pegelli Posted September 14, 2023 Share #9 Posted September 14, 2023 (edited) Sell the lens or buy a second hand MFT camera. Early Olympus and Panasonic/Lumix MFT camera's are not very expensive. And then buy this adapter to use the lens you got with the digilux 3 on the MFT camera. Edited September 14, 2023 by pegelli
dpitt Posted September 15, 2023 Share #10 Posted September 15, 2023 I can recommend the Panasonic Gx8 if you want to buy a MFT. Later Gx series is even better but this one does the job and has 20MP
