I’m in the same boat with Tangosix.  profoto b10 and a2 off camera with a remote in the hot shoe. couldn’t imagine better solutions but I don’t use flash for run and gun. Just got the Godox Lux and the diffuser.
Photoworks Posted September 24, 2023 Share #23  Posted September 24, 2023 I just getting the 3rd SF 60 packed up for repair, it stopped powering up. The SF 40-60 is the only flash I have found to work across all Leica systems. The SF-60 soffer from old design. Newer flash have all better batteries, quicker recharge time, can hold diffuser without flapping down all the time, and don't overheat. SF-60 is based on Nissin design of the i60a ( already discontinued) If you are using the SL2 you have other options if you need TTL and HSS. Profoto and Godox came to mind.  Currently, I am using a godox V860II + Godox Leica trigger, a bracket and Gary Fong Diffuser ( after testing many of them it is the softest one out there, the V1 round head is cure, but not great for bounce) Welcome, dear visitor! PK Bhattacharyya Posted January 21, 2024 Share #24 Â Posted January 21, 2024 Friends, can I use Godox V860IIN safely on my SL2-s? I also have a Digitek DFL-088 for my other cameras. I have a DRM-009 trigger to work with it. Thanks in advance for your advice.
bpLeica Posted January 23, 2024 Share #25 Â Posted January 23, 2024 It depends on the use case but I don't see any benefit for on camera flash. Going through a bunch of options, I landed with the Elinchrom One as the best solution for flash when I need it. Bulky but does the job.
