Advertisement (gone after registration)

Hi everyone 

Big shame, my M6 TTL has lost part of it's hotshoe (the black plastic that guides the flash into place).

My SF24D will mount, but my off camera cable (which I love using in TTL mode for off camera flash) will no longer mount.  

Without the guide, the 'male' prongs on the cable base won't move past the first contacts when trying to enter it into the hotshoe.

Needle in a haystack maybe but I wonder what my best chance of replacing this is ?

In the meantime (perhaps forever) , I've just discovered a cut piece of Ilford HP5+ can be used as a (hot) shoe horn ! Damn handy this stuff isn't it .

As user, I had so many "flaws" on Leitz/Leica (or other brands phot gears or motorbike) when I travelled.

Not many choices to continue the "road/trip", so DYI was my main solutions and "thinking as DIYer" was beneficial

and I admire exotic solutions for problems.

Now we can learn a lot on the net, but when in front of one of it's kind problem (like here, yours), Internet is helpless.

One of them ...
