After the battery drop and reinsert, it was fine. Much like before the update, the problem was unrepeatable. I had just taken the camera out of my car, and it is a hot summer day, but the inside of the car seemed comfortable, so I don't think heat would be a factor. Just an FYI for anyone with Leica contacts, I don't think the problem has been fixed yet. I got the camera in June and have had probably less than 6 freezes requiring the battery drop.
