I recently bought a mint minus TL2, that actually looks brand new minus the box.  I checked the firmware and it is up to date at v 1.5.  I also bought the 020 Visoflex/EVF.  Additionally I downloaded the instruction manual and have been reading it.  The manual says that I can reprogram the Fn button to use for changing between the EVF and the Screen/Monitor.  When I go to the Fn button box in the menu there is no EVF/Monitor choice in my camera like it shows in the instruction manual.  Does anyone know if this was changed in the latest firmware version or am I missing something as to how to reprogram the Fn button?

Thank you for any help you can provide,

Don

That kind of helps, thank you.  But not what I was looking for.  As I understand the Leica instruction manual, I should be able to program the Fn button to switch between EVF and Monitor.  Taking me to "My Menu" adds another step in there rather than push the button and change from EVF to Monitor as I had hoped.  I'm wondering it they changed/removed that setting in the 1.5 firmware update?  When I press the menu button/screen for the Fn button a number of choices come up that can be set for what the Fn function button will be but EVF is not one of them, whereas it seems it used to be.

Indeed, there seems to be no way to set the FN or the Left dial to switch between EVF-Monitor. (all I know is Firmware 1.5) And the manual is not very accurate for this Firmware version, it seems.

I also like to work with EVF only most of the time. As a workaround, I now made 2 profiles. One for setting EVF-only and one for Auto LCD - EVF.

N.B.:

Make sure you set the FN button to either 'Profile' or 'MENU' option before you switch to the EVF only mode. (my EVF only profile is doing that automatically). If you do not do that, there is no way you can leave the EVF only state when you need to access any menu item. Of course you can dismount the EVF from the camera, but I do not like to use that option.

I found the FN = 'MENU' option works best for me. But the FN = 'Profile' could work also if you do not need access to the touchscreen very often.
