hutchinson14 Posted August 13, 2023 Share #1 Posted August 13, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi I am wondering if I have a fault with my M-P 240. Intermittently it has come up with card full flashing in the viewfinder, I changed the card and it was fine. I am using a 32gb SD card by SanDisk. I reinserted the original card in the camera which I had formatted in the camera and carried on shooting. Today I came to use the camera, took a photo which was fine, came to take another photo moments later the camera appeared dead, nothing working except for this message “ File not found please insert memory card with correct firmware file” I took out the battery and memory card, reinserted both and the camera came to life I continued to take photos for the rest of the afternoon with no further messages or lock up’s. Now does this appear to be a fault with the camera or memory card? The camera is still under second hand warranty with Red Dot Cameras. Welcome, dear visitor! Graham (G4FUJ) Posted August 14, 2023 Share #2 Posted August 14, 2023 Whenever I've had odd, sometimes intermittent, errors with digital cameras it has been down to a failing SD card, rather than the camera.
hutchinson14 Posted August 14, 2023 Author Share #3 Posted August 14, 2023 (edited) It is a brand new SD card which has worked ok in another camera. I have had other Leica M cameras but never this message. Edited August 14, 2023 by hutchinson14
hutchinson14 Posted August 14, 2023 Author Share #4 Posted August 14, 2023 I have been onto Red Dot cameras and the think it is a card problem. I have changed the card, so we will see what happens.

overexposed Posted August 14, 2023 Share #6 Posted August 14, 2023 well the firmware message is quite oddly, but otherwise maybe a sd card format inside the camera might also help
jdlaing Posted August 14, 2023 Share #7 Posted August 14, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Could very well be a problem with the pins not making full contact with the card. Look and see that they are all aligned straight.
