Work on a general outdoor image.
Start by using AWB on the camera, although this is not really relevant.  It is more to make life easier. The green cast is not in the DNG file, but created in Lightroom.
Start out by making sure that your monitor is calibrated properly and that your ambient light is neutral. No tungsten,LED or fluorescent.
Use “basic” in LR.
Then use the “as shot” setting.
Hit “auto”.
Now, working from top to bottom adjust the image to your liking.
Save the settings.

The next time you can use your personal settings.

I will only use the “as shot” settings or “auto” settings from Adobe.  All the other ones I find useless.

Actually, I am not quite sure why anybody would want to use these settings when the colour balance sliders and eyedropper tool are much more convenient. Maybe Adobe isn't either. ;)
