MakinMemories Posted August 10, 2023 Share #3 Posted August 10, 2023 Sorry to hear, hopefully your homeowners insurance will cover the loss. Golf courses and Country-clubs in general, used to attract a better class of people...
Scoe141 Posted August 10, 2023 Share #4 Posted August 10, 2023 Sorry, that's terrible. Might be a bit of a lift but could try and check area pawnshops and eBay, Amazon etc?
OR120 Posted August 10, 2023 Share #5 Posted August 10, 2023 Not sure if you already did this but - I would file a stolen property report with the Bethesda Club Director and with the County Police. In my experience this has helped things turn up. It did for me.

Speculative here, but I wonder if it was summer help and some fear would help the Q3 turn up.

Daniel C.1975 Posted August 11, 2023 Share #8 Posted August 11, 2023 That sucks! Especially somewhere where you might think all have a common interest and are "buddies".
Scoe141 Posted August 29, 2023 Share #9 Posted August 29, 2023 Was curious if there were any updates on this. Hope it's been resolved, @reynoldsyoung
reynoldsyoung Posted August 29, 2023 Author Share #10 Posted August 29, 2023 Absolutely, the best possible result... I did have the camera insured with USAA...they paid me in hours. I let the local DC Leica Store know as well as the Leica Online Store about the loss and began watching eBay a bit. The Online Leica Store went to work to locate a camera for me and I was back in business in days....unbelievable service. As lens hoods and thumb supports trickled in to the US, they let me know when they were online and I replaced the pieces eventually. Then, came Expert Shield and a new protective filter from Amazon.
