To check infinity focus, you need to point the lens at an object like the moon or something more than a few hundred meters away. Most of the time you’ll reach focus on distant objects well before reaching the hard stop. Enjoy your new lens.

Where are you living ? Asked sometimes, the repair shop replied to send the camera/lens to establish a quote. Sometimes the quote is bad surprise as so many things were wrong/unadjusted/worn etc. Other times, good surprise, nothing wrong. ... So the best thing to do is use the M+lens then decide after results if something must be check/repaired.
spydrxx Posted August 7, 2023 Share #24 Â Posted August 7, 2023 You're apparently a new user to Leica, so slow down, RTFM, and don't be afraid to use a little force (not a lot) in twisting the lens in place until it clicks. At that point you should be able to rotate the focus to infinity.

They will also let you try out other lenses on your camera so you can see if the issue is the camera or the lens.
