TLG Posted August 7, 2023 Author Share #6  Posted August 7, 2023 (edited) I have printed and read the booklet, thank you. It all seems straightforward. Reading it did bring up a couple of queries for me, namely: Could some kind soul explain the physics of why having a larger aperture means you should prolong exposure by 50%, whereas with a smaller aperture it's only 10%? (i.e. I would have thought intuitively it would be the other way round: more light in with a larger aperture would mean a smaller increase in exposure time?) I'm obviously missing something, either in my understanding of the physics or the interpretation of the text. Quote  The use of the stereo attachment necessitates a slight increase in the time of exposure. At full aperture the exposure should be prolonged by about 40 to 50 per cent, whereas with small apertures (below F/12.5) only about 10 per cent need be added to the normal exposure. p. 7.  The second query: for those who have/use the Stereoly (such as @Dr. No , @alan mcfall, @Shades Of Laks and others), in the case of film, do you use colour slide film for use with the VOTRA viewer, or something like Rollei Superpan 200 or Ilford XP2 cross-processed via E6 development (or indeed an ELDIA or KOFIM for turning negative to positive film)? I am curious. Thank you for any illumination. 🙂 Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members!
