ScottDommin Posted August 28, 2023 Share #21 Posted August 28, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Like others have stated, I find that green filters are pretty much useless at least for my preferred subjects. (Photo from a Q2 Mono, but you get the idea. No filter.) Welcome, dear visitor! Olaf_ZG Posted September 23, 2023 Author Share #24 Posted September 23, 2023 When I started this thread in July, I ordered online (german store) two orange filters (43/46mm) and a green one. Paid right away. The quickly cancelled the order for the green filter and yesterday I cancelled the rest as it was still in back order.
Peter_S Posted September 24, 2023 Share #25 Posted September 24, 2023 You can always ask Heliopan. They made a custom filter for me before.
jchabalk Posted September 29, 2023 Share #26 Posted September 29, 2023 I was looking for green filters a month or so ago - i've always wanted to try making tri-chromes on film and was assembling the filters for it. I always use B+W but couldn't find them, or heliopan etc. I eventually did find a green #58 tiffen filter as mentioned earlier in this thread. I haven't bought a tiffen filter in a while and they're nicer than i remember, the ring might be actual brass now. The old ones I used to get were always aluminum and bound up all the time. I found a few other brands too but they were all some sort of nebulous inconsistent "green" color - not Green #58. These were available in the US via Amazon and B&H.
ramarren Posted October 2, 2023 Share #27 Posted October 2, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hmm. My green filters for various M mount lenses: 39mm - Leica Grn (bought new) 40.5mm - Heliopan X1 (Pentax-L 43 and M-Rokkor 90) 46mm - Hoya Pro X1 Series 7 - Leica Grn (bought used) ('72 Summilux 35) 55mm - Hoya Pro X1 (R-mount 60, 100, 135, 180) I bought all of these between April 2022 and January 2023. No drama: I just ordered them from B&H or Ebay, they showed up on the usual mail order timetable. G
