Willi J. Posted August 3, 2023 Share #1 Posted August 3, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) My 246 (firmware 1.0.2.0) is set to lens detection "Automatic". However, the main menu displays "Uncoded". The manual lens selection menu includes only "50 f/1.2 11820" (the old version of the lens, not the new one 11686). What settings should I choose? Thank you. P.S. No problem with the M10M. The lens is automatically detected but it is also not included in the manual lens detection menu (see above). Advertisement Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 Hi Willi J., Take a look here M 246 and new Noctilux 1.2/50: What profile?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted August 3, 2023 Share #2 Posted August 3, 2023 Best to experiment. If you only need the EXIF set it to the old 1.2, If you want the best automatic results, set it to any lens that works best. Note that you can do these corrections in postprocessing as well, it is just a matter of convenience.
Willi J. Posted August 5, 2023 Author Share #3 Posted August 5, 2023 Thank you for your answer and sorry for the confusion. My mistake. I somehow managed to overlook that there was a new firmware version (1.1.0.0.). Problem solved. The 246 now automatically recognizes the lens.
