Advertisement Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Hi wolan, Take a look here Best lens for astrophotography for the Leica M system. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
darylgo Posted August 2, 2023 Share #2 Posted August 2, 2023 I don't know the best, the new Sigma 14mm f1.4 is designed for astrophotography...only available in Sony E and Leica L mount presently. The 50/1.4 Asph does well, the 21/1.4 has significant coma.
spydrxx Posted August 2, 2023 Share #3 Posted August 2, 2023 Do you want broad sky, wide angle shots, or to capture the moon craters and planets? Obviously there is more than one best. The 400/6.8 Telyt is no slouch. I did sell mine though after modifying an old Spiratone 400/6.3, which was lighter, easier to focus, and had a little better contrast. For broad sky I've used both Leica 35 and 24 models. I found broad sky shots either pedantic or pretty boring though. Good luck with your choice/s.
Lightningstrike Posted August 3, 2023 Share #4 Posted August 3, 2023 I do a lot of Astrophotography with my M Camera. My absolute favorite lens is the voigtländer 21mm 1.8. Already very nice and usable at f1.8 , almost perfect at f2.0 Recently i added the laowa 15mm f2 in M-Mount, also great for Astro
