Match Technical Q2 Thumb Support on Q3?

Has anyone tried using the Match Technical Q2 Thumbgrip on a Q3?  Based on the design it looks like there’s enough room to expose both function buttons.  But don’t know if there are other fit considerations.  Been reading mixed feedback on the internet.  
 

The new Q3 Thumb Support is impossible to find in black and I don’t care for the silver or brass colors so I’m trying to look at other solutions.

It's a shame about the scarcity of the black Q3 thumb support.  I have been looking for a month for it with no luck.  I actually found one yesterday at the Singapore Leica store, but they won't ship to the U.S.  I have tried 3 different Q2 thumb grips and they all at partially block one of the Q3 buttons.  I am using a JJC thumb grip on my Q3 now.  Although I could access both buttons, the access is awkward and slow, not the best for back-button focus.  I am starting to think that maybe I should just get the silver or brass one and sell it when I do get my hands of the black one.

The Thumbs Up for the Q2 fits just fine with the  Q3.  Go forth with confidence.

Yes, it'll fit, but the two buttons are recessed from the thumb grip, making them hard to access, especially if you have large fingers (thumb).

True. But that’s intrinsic to the thumb grip’s design and was also true for the Q2.  The buttons are both accessible, more easily if you have a small right thumb.

Right.  That's why I bought the Leica thumb support for the Q2, expensive but it's much easier to access the two buttons.  I'm willing to pay for the Leica Q3 thumb support, if only the black version is available.

Can someone post a photo showing the fit?

I'm using the black Thumbs Up from my original Q on my Q3 and it fits just fine too, there might be a used one out there.
