DQ03 Posted July 19, 2023 Share #1 Posted July 19, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Sorry if this question had been asked. My Q3 will arrive in a few days and I want to order a couple of 128 GB SDXC UHS-II, C10, U3, V90 for the camera. Right now only Sony Tough-G has the fastest writing speed of 299 MB/s, all other brands have the max writing speed of 260 MB/s. For those who have received the camera and bought a SD card, may I ask which brand that you purchased and whether the max 260 MB/s writing speed is sufficient. Also, in terms of increased speed, are there any benefits if I buy 2x64 GB instead of 1x128 GB. My most use of the camera is taking photos, but I might do some 8K video recording. Thanks much for any inputs/recommendations.
Advertisement Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 Hi DQ03, Take a look here What Brand of SD Memory Cards for Leica Q3?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
1945 Mouton Posted July 19, 2023 Share #2 Posted July 19, 2023 The forum here has its SD card test results page that is very helpful: https://www.l-camera-forum.com/sd-card-leica/ Personally, I find the Sabrent cards the best value. I don't shoot video, so their V60 is more than adequate for my use. They do have a V90 card that is highly rated.
brickftl Posted July 19, 2023 Share #3 Posted July 19, 2023 I just got this for my Q3. Plenty fast since I don't shoot video, and seems a good value. Plus I've never had problems with Sandisk Amazon.com: SanDisk 256GB Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-I Card - C10, U3, V30, 4K UHD, SD Card - SDSDXXY-256G-GN4IN

Phil75 Posted July 19, 2023 Share #6 Posted July 19, 2023 Monday I received the Kingston Canvas React Plus recommended here in the forum and test list. Cannot complain. 64 GB @ <45 € incl. freight. Decided for the smaller size for the moment, as prices will always drop. At file sizes of almost 90 MB speed is more important than space.

Kingston Canvas React Plus is indeed rated #1 based on the list provided above (by 1945 Mouton). It is reasonably priced too. Thanks for the info.
