o2mpx Posted July 21, 2023 Share #41 Posted July 21, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) A word of thanks to folks on this thread, updated successfully 11-23/18-55/55-135 zooms from 1.1 to 2.0 using the latest file - BTW, the file posted on Leica's site has a suffix .html after .plf unlike the file from the French site so perhaps that's why the Leica site file didn't work before. On a related L mount note, unable to update 16-35/24-90 L zooms on the CL (have sold the SL2 in anticipation of SL3), so 16-35 is on 3.0 and 24-90 is on 2.2. Mounted the L zooms on the CL after saving the latest SL2 5.1 and 5.0 firmware on the card, since supposedly lens firmware is embedded to camera firmware, but neither will update on either 5.0 or 5.1 version. Don https://leica-camera.com/sites/default/files/2021-12/CL___41_.lfu I downloaded the software. Is it installed the same way that camera firmware is? Have all the CL/TL lenses been updated to version 2.0 or just some of them?
Don Morley Posted August 9, 2023 Author Share #43 Posted August 9, 2023 Yes install in exactly the same way. As to if all of the CL T TL Lenses update to 2? About all I can say is I believe so. Certainly all of mine did automatically once the firmware was installed. Good luck, Don
RDSChicago Posted July 5 Share #44 Posted July 5 I just downloaded the firmware update. I can copy it onto an SD card, which I did. Do I put it in the private folder, the DSIM folder or in its own folder? I downloaded it on to all three and my CL under lens update is indicating that no software was found on the card. Please help. wda Posted July 5 Share #45 Posted July 5 That is because you hid it in a folder. Don't!

RDSChicago Posted July 5 Share #48 Posted July 5 Here is what the file looks like on my iPad. It says 83.3 mb but it also looks empty? Does this look correct? Welcome, dear visitor! NickT Posted July 17 Share #49 Posted July 17 You need to copy the update file directly to the root of the SD card, no new folder needed.
