Hey there! I’m trying to get in and clean up the haze on this old Summaron of mine, and can’t for the life of me get the last leg I need to reach the element (below the aperture blades). I tried going through the back, but I think I should be able to get past this element in the front (which is the second element, top down).

Any ideas how this is attached? Maybe it’s just supposed to come up, and I need to give it a gentle pry, but don’t want to try until I have more info (which hopefully someone here has!). The only video I found that had anything to show was this one, but unfortunately my (second) element isn't housed the same way as that one? Thanks!

I went in on the back again, out of frustration with this end, and it seems like the element behind the aperture can come out, but it's a really tight fit and I can't pull it out with my lens suction tool. Any ideas how I can pull it out? it's a perfect fit.

here is Summaron with all elements removed. Both lenses before and behind aperture are sitting indeed very firmly. What helps is suction cup, rubber or silicon. You may do it however differently, open the rear of the leans and push, very carefully the second element (or clean affected surface with lens inside). Marked rear element sits as well tight but it has groves (arrow) so it is easier to remove it.

This is great for reference, thank you! There doesn't seem to be much on disassembling this lens online, so hopefully this thread could come in handy to someone in the future.

I did end up getting in finally through that exact element on the back, which was the one I was struggling with, but the grooves helped a lot! I created this little loop out of malleable wire and gently went around and pulled the element up.

That all done, I think I've gone over my head with other stuff on this lens, so I'll probably have to send it away anyway lol. A bummer but c'est la vie.
