Newbie to SL2-S, recentering AF point.

Please excuse such a simple question, how do I recenter the AF point.

Whilst I'm here, is focus bracketing/stacking available.

No doubt this is just the first of many such questions, be gentle with me.

The Manual isn't quite, shall I say, 'user friendly'

No, it's not available. You could submit a feature request via the Leica Fotos app. More people requesting a feature = more chances said feature will be implemented in the future

Leica should have access to the technology, as Panasonic offers it on their LUMIX S series cameras.

Will do just that.

Leica decided on the toggle option. I don't know why!

 

1. double-tab on the screen. It is not convenient if you have to take your eye off the evf.

2. is probably something you would like. I use this option with the little bottom next to EVF.
It is called "Toggle FOcus Point"  you can long press it to assign it in the menu. 
This will just back to the center and back to the last AF point used.

I hope they add another button to the back of the SL3, next to the thumbwheel, which you can assign as you wish, for example with a focus separate from the shutter release button. There would still be room on the SL2/s. Where can you add such suggestions in the app?

You can double tapping on the screen, or assign FN button as Toggle Focus Point.

On iOS, but I assume it's the same on Android:

Launch the app --> tap the Settings (gear) icon on top right corner --> select Feature Request

This is actually something I've been looking for for quite a while, so thank you! Sadly it doesn't work in Face Detect AF. Double tap works even in Face Detect, but rather unrelieable. Half the time I don't tap fast enough and it just puts the focus where I tapped... I might just send a request through the app as well

"Toggle FOcus Point" ....that sounds the business, I'll give it a try.

No mention in the manual index.

Came with an update, they don’t update the manual for the minor updates.

You know that can configure the Joystick, I’m sure?

Yes, I use that sometimes too, but it's far from the same as an extra button. You have to be very precise when you press the joystick (it's sometimes difficult in more hectic situations) and it often happens that I accidentally move it in one direction. Besides, there is this wonderful place where the button would fit. My thumb is already smiling in that direction.
