Don't know much about SL2, although I have had a CL and Q2 (should never have sold that).

Something around 50mm or standard zoom please.

Can't run to a Leica, so I suppose it'll have to be a Pana or Sigma.

Question....will these marques function as a true Leica SL lens, IBIS etc.

The Pana 20-60 is calling to me, assuming it's compatible.

Advice and observations gratefully received, as mentioned....ignorant of SL2.

TIA

You are in the S section of the forum not the SL section.

The Panasonic progenitor of the Leica Summicron-SL 50mm f/2 ASPH: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1703965-REG/panasonic_lumix_s_50mm_f_1_8.html

The Panasonic is likely better weather sealed than the new Sigma 50mm f/2 DG DN Contemporary but I understand the Sigma is a very fine performer otherwise: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1757613-REG/sigma_314969_50mm_f_2_dg_dn.html

To answer the IBIS question, the SL2 and SL2-S have IBIS built in the body.  Thus, it should work with any lens (it works with my R lenses). Any lens with IBIS built in, if I remember right, will also help.  I don’t believe the brand of the lens matters as much.  Note the SL does not have IBIS built in (first generation).

David.
