Are there any advantage at all to Download the Photos through the Leica App? Isn't it smarter to import it from the SD card directly?

Depends on the overall situation, if I'm at home I will use the card reader, out n about, pop into a STBX get a coffee, relax and use the FOTOS app.. It also syncs with Photos automatically.

I download images from the SD card into LR on my iPad at the end of the day. I rarely bring my iPad along while out and about. I do use the Fotos app if I want to upload an image to social media from my iPhone while out.

If you are using the latest generation of Leica cameras that have USB-C, I’d just plug the camera straight into the iPad Pro and import to Lightroom. If you are using an older camera without USB-C, you can get a USB-C SD Card reader and import directly into LR. Both methods are going to be much faster than to try and download wirelessly via FOTOS.

Hehe, thanks a lot! I never looked properly. So i found a USB-C plug on my M11 🙂
