dennersten Posted July 1, 2023 Share #1 Posted July 1, 2023 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Are there any advantage at all to Download the Photos through the Leica App? Isn't it smarter to import it from the SD card directly? Edited July 1, 2023 by dennersten
Advertisement Posted July 1, 2023 Posted July 1, 2023 Hi dennersten, Take a look here I am going out travelling and want a Ipad workflow.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Indeepthought Posted July 1, 2023 Share #2 Posted July 1, 2023 (edited) Depends on the overall situation, if I'm at home I will use the card reader, out n about, pop into a STBX get a coffee, relax and use the FOTOS app.. It also syncs with Photos automatically. 🍷 Edited July 1, 2023 by Indeepthought
Cavu Posted July 1, 2023 Share #3 Posted July 1, 2023 I download images from the SD card into LR on my iPad at the end of the day. I rarely bring my iPad along while out and about. I do use the Fotos app if I want to upload an image to social media from my iPhone while out.
beewee Posted July 1, 2023 Share #4 Posted July 1, 2023 (edited) If you are using the latest generation of Leica cameras that have USB-C, I’d just plug the camera straight into the iPad Pro and import to Lightroom. If you are using an older camera without USB-C, you can get a USB-C SD Card reader and import directly into LR. Both methods are going to be much faster than to try and download wirelessly via FOTOS.
