Kiwimac Posted June 30, 2023 Share #1  Posted June 30, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Here in NZ they’ve just begun giving away free Trinovid binoculars if you buy an M11. Offer available until the end of August.  Leica aren’t known for giving away free stuff so I’m wondering if it’s a move to reduce stock on hand pending a launch of the M11P…
Advertisement Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 Hi Kiwimac, Take a look here Free binoculars with your M11!. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Chaemono Posted June 30, 2023 Share #2  Posted June 30, 2023 I would guess ahead of the introduction of the M11-S. The binoculars will help to see that the 60 MP M11 can’t produce sharp pictures handheld. Demand for the M11-S will go through the roof.

I have owned mine since the launch and couldn't be happier. Sounds like the promotion is meant to boost lower than expected sales in NZ. Here in the States, Leica have been doing promotions on the SL cameras for a few years now with no new model in sight. Kiwimac Posted June 30, 2023 Author Share #6  Posted June 30, 2023 (edited) I can’t say I’ve found it difficult to get sharp images so far.  Apologies for the dog picture, second only to cat pictures and child pictures in my Most Hated Photo Genres, and it’s an ooc jpeg too, but it’s sharp where it’s focused. Welcome, dear visitor! Photoworks Posted June 30, 2023 Share #7 Â Posted June 30, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) It can be that they are promoting binoculars. I think does are more for wildlife shooting in a companion with a long lens, I never liked the results of the binoculars adapted to the camera. lucerne Posted June 30, 2023 Share #9  Posted June 30, 2023 Can't find any evidence to verify the authenticity of this offer,  New Zealand don't respond to enquiries. Website doesn't contain any offers. Seems like wishfull thinking by the OP🫤.  Can the OP elaborate?

Thanks. No it isn’t. I checked. It’s by redemption from Leica in NZ.  Here’s a different dealer. It clearly stated that the binoculars are supplied by Lacklands, who are Leicas’ importer in New Zealand.   Welcome, dear visitor! lucerne Posted July 1, 2023 Share #13 Â Posted July 1, 2023 Thats interesting. Â Maybe such a scheme could be rolled out to other countries. Thanks for clearing that up. Â
Jeff S Posted July 1, 2023 Share #14 Â Posted July 1, 2023 Also, a dealer would run afoul of Leica without approval for new product pricing/marketing. Jeff 1
Huss Posted July 10, 2023 Share #15 Â Posted July 10, 2023 The Trinovid 10x25 is the cheapest binocular in the line up. Â In the US it is about $500 retail. Â So if you take into account the actual cost of it to Leica, this is perhaps a $200 offering. Â On an item that maybe they are discontinuing/clearing out anyway. Â More people buy the more expensive and nicer 10x25 Ultravids. So really what they are doing is clearing out old stock and using that to move a camera that is not selling as well as hoped. Â Of course, this is complete hypothesis on my behalf!
lucerne Posted July 10, 2023 Share #16 Â Posted July 10, 2023 there are conditions attached to the offer. Â Only residents of NewZealand qualify!
