gordec Posted June 29, 2023 Share #1 Posted June 29, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I purchased my M10 locally earlier this year. The previous owner bought it preowned from Leica Miami. Today I just want to see what happens if I registered it. Leica website actually let me register it with June 1 as purchase date and extend the warranty for another 12 months. So I guess it has warranty now until June 2025. Has anyone tried this before? I hope nothing happens to my M10, but I wonder if Leica would actually honor it in case I do need service. Advertisement Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 Hi gordec, Take a look here Leica Warranty. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
dugby Posted June 29, 2023 Share #2 Posted June 29, 2023 The one and only time in my 20+ years of Leica (20 items) ownership that I’ve had to use Leica service was for the failed Digilux 2 sensor. I was required to provide a copy of the purchase invoice which I presume was the official record for date of purchase (ie commencement date for warranty). Huss Posted June 30, 2023 Share #3 Posted June 30, 2023 Yeah, I've always had to provide a copy of the original invoice for warranty claims. Leica could not care about the camera being registered for that.
