icon80 Posted June 22, 2023 Share #1 Posted June 22, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) From time to time I see members comment on the exif data and adjustments which have been made to photographs posted to the forum. I view the forum on a PC running Windows 11. Despite all my attempts, I have been unable to view such data. I would be grateful for any help members can provide. pegelli Posted June 22, 2023 Share #3 Posted June 22, 2023 When you use Firefox there's a very handy plug-in called wxIF. When you then right click on an image you get an option to directly see the Exif in a seprate browser window. Other handy plug-in I use is a histogram viewer which works exactly the same. I don't know if similar plug-ins exist for other browsers like Chrome or Edge.
icon80 Posted June 22, 2023 Author Share #4 Posted June 22, 2023 Thank you for these replies. I had tried saving to desktop, but found this very cumbersome, especially since many images showed no exif data. Have found two plugins to my Edge browser, which allow a much more straightforward "right click on image" to view exif data. Turns out that a majority of posted images have been stripped of the exif data. Thanks once again.
andybarton Posted June 23, 2023 Share #5 Posted June 23, 2023 I always strip EXIF from any photographs I share on here and always have done.

When images are sized in Lightroom or Photoshop, then "Saved As," the exif is not stripped out. I use both methods.
