Foto App Geo Tagging Settings and Battery Drain

I was able to use the App and it worked flawlessly. I updated my SL2S and I have four cameras able to access Fotos. It seems to be working well from my experience with the app going back to 2016. I downloaded an image edited a DNG in Lightroom app and then shared the jpg directly to Facebook. 

I m trying to assess the settings in Fotos App for geotagging and whether it causes considerable battery drain. U was testing the geotagging yesterday and it seemed my battery went use was quite high. I have searched this site for any related posts but came up short. The settings for geotagging show  "Beta- Always on" or "Only when Using"  or "Off"

 

I am running the program now on "when using" to assess battery drain however would appreciate any one else's input and experience with the settings.

I’m assuming you are referring to battery drain on your phone. It will depend on your phone. Also, the fact that you mention ‘beta-always’ suggest you’re running a very old version of the app as Leica hasn’t used the ‘beta’ term for geotagging for well over a year now, at least on iOS.
