I appreciate your thoughts, but one must experience the entirety to appreciate it. Your dislike of the effect is valid of course. Perhaps I should take responsibility for your reaction because of the way in which I have represented it. To enjoy the totality, one must be cognizant of Pierre Bonnards work. The design of the gallery decor is specifically related to his work. Therefore I guess it is necessary to like Pierre's work in order to appreciate the decor. Just my opinion of course. I expext there may be other feed back (locally) agreeing with you. I await it with interest.

I was half joking. I can see where being in the whole space might evoke a different response, however, I'm certain I'd not have India Mahdavi decorate my home. I actually do like many of Bonnard's paintings.

I agree. I would NOT have my home decorated that way either, but Bonnards paintings would be welcome.
