1.4x Magnifier on an M3?

Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone has tried a 1.4x magnifier with an M3. Is it overkill, specifically to aid with accurate focus on a 90mm lens wide open?

I had tried that but not in real use,

as M3 VF+ RF is fine for 90mm Summicron not needing the add-on 1.25/1.4 mag.

Plenty enough RF accuracy,  even wide open use.

For Elmarit 135mm, Leitz cleverly used the 90 field in VF and adding x1.5 optical device.
