Leica Girl Posted October 21, 2023 Share #1081 Posted October 21, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I had my name on a wait list at Leica Miami since May 25th, and received an email from them two days ago stating that my name had reach the top of the list and I had 36 hours to respond before they moved to the next person on the list. However, I would not lose my place on the waiting list if I were unable to respond in the 36 hours. I was happy to advise them that I had already received my Q3 from B&H on September 14th (having placed my name on B&H waiting list the same day) and they could remove my name from their list. In my view yes it does and I have cancelled the charging grip/charger and bought a third party grip. Without a grip I would 100% go back to neck strap from wrist strap. I prefer to remove battery to charge. After an hour or more with a wrist strap I want a neck or preferably an over shoulders strap. without hrip I find all the Q's a bit slippery feeling as if I could have an 'accident'. 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you are also looking for a half-case, I would recommend the LIM Q3 half-case, which comes with a grip. Unlike the the Leica half-case (which I returned), the LIM also provides access to the SD card and USB ports. I've been using it a couple of weeks and am very happy for the grip. Now if Leica would start shipping the black thumb supports (which I ordered a couple of months ago), that would be nice. I fail to comprehend the brand who produces a grip without access to such ports and battery/card. It makes no sense whatsoever. I have cancelled the Leica charging grip/wireless charging pad and had already cancelled the leica half case and I'm going to use the refund to buy a lim's half case! although Oberwerth just came out with a half case that looks quite good with a secret airtag compartment, that could come in handy!
