Do you consider it necessary to put a Screen Protector on the Leica TL2?

I have read in forums that there are those who do not put said protector, because it reduces visibility and the speed of response. What do you think?....

I have one on but it's dirty and I want to change it. I was thinking of buying the one that Leica sells but I can't find it, it's still out of stock.

I would like to know opinions and if you have tried any protector that works well on the Leica TL2.

the Leica store put one on [free] when i got the camera, its been on since 2014 and no issues

Which means that the ones that Leica sells are more expensive but good. At Leica they are sold out

Yes Dopaco, it's true.
But I've had issues with Amazon before, including items not matching the order, according to different sellers.
You then have to report, wait, send back, wait again and that annoys me...

If that's the 18806 film, some dealers and the Austrian Leica store still have them:

If this doesn't fit a current camera, it may not get re-stocked by Leica (though they probably bought them in from someone else).

I have had my CL since 2018 and have never had a screen protector, everything seems fine with the screen. Just another point of view.

I put one on my TL2 and glad I did. After a trip to Iceland lugging the camera around I noticed a fair amount of scratches on the protector. I found this on Amazon and it was legit and fits properly.

I’ve never used a screen protector on any camera I’ve had, including the Leica (and CL) - never had a problem or issue so I’m in the don’t need it line.
