photolandscape Posted November 10, 2007 Share #1 Posted November 10, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) As the title suggests, I have a 15mm CV, a Milich adapter (properly coded), and until recently had eliminated the cyan fringing from my shots. Lately it seems to have reappeared. What could be the cause of it? What focal length setting should I be selecting on the menu when I mount the lens--I can't recall what I selected recently, but if I chose the wrong setting, could that be the cause? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Advertisement Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Hi photolandscape, Take a look here 15CV, Cyan Fringing, Milich Adapter Question. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
carstenw Posted November 10, 2007 Share #2 Posted November 10, 2007 Probably the 16mm setting provides the best compensation, but you could test it simply by shooting a white wall at all three settings and compare. Less compensation will be required for longer focal lengths, so the answer to your question is yes.
psquared Posted November 10, 2007 Share #3 Posted November 10, 2007 If you're using a Leica filter, I find that the 21mm WATE setting gives the best results under sunlight. I get too much magenta (overcorrection) with the 16mm setting. I don't know if they if they fine-tuned the cyan correction in the new firmware. I haven't tested the CV15 with the new firmware. Lately it seems to have reappeared . Very nice pictures: Peru October 2007! Frankly: I don't see the problem. Please point out a picture where you see the cyan reappear. (BTW: see some Peru pictures - similar locations - on my website quoted below!)
