I can’t as yet determine that creating a B&W from using (or not using) the filter is producing a different result in photoshop.
That is out of camera DNGs applying the simple B&W option.
(that sounded better in my head)

Nice one Mark.

You will at, ISO 320 be able to shoot handheld IR with the M8 with #695nm filter, on a bright day around 1/45 sec. Shoot RAW & try altering light balance (once converted to B/W) this will change the IR effect. The only problem is getting focus correct as the M8 has no live view, so this can be a bit hit & miss, wide angle lenses will help but be prepared for some corner fall off. Good luck with your experiments, you'll find it's worth it in the end.

One of mine from many years ago M8 28mm Elmarit #695nm.

Yes understood, very little post processing was needed, took about 60 sec. from import to export for the forum.

A Mono 246 works as as well and has the advantage of live view for focus. bottom of page

Is this a jpg or RAW, if RAW pull down your exosure, highlights and whites. I find the M8 meter works well for IR. I bought the M8 to do IR then discovered its color atrributes. One of my first IR shots with the M8, using a 25mm Canon and a R72 filter.
