WOW!

Did you ask the person to stroll down the path or just a matter of good timing to be there.

Thanks! Matter of good timing and thanks to the 60megapixels and it's incredible crop capacities. Original picture to give an idea

Just have to post these.  Not great photograhically, but of a great guy.  This is my 101 year old father-in-law.  He has been visiting Yosemite for over 70 years taking photos and hiking all over.  He is slowing down a bit, but still pulls his 5th wheel and backs it into camp spots with ease.  He no longer hikes to Vernal falls or even to Mirror Lake, but he is good for a mile or so of fairly level hiking dragging all his photo gear around with him.  So, here are a few shots of him in action last week in Yosemite doing what he loves.

A couple more of the iconic subjects on Yosemite before I move on to hopefully more creative shots.  Made the trip up to Glacier Point one evening when there were a few possible clouds to make it worth the trip.  Unfortunately, the sun was blocked soon after this shot so did not get the full sunset effect, but the almost full moon was an added bonus.

And the view from Sentinal Bridge of Half Dome over the Merced River.  Next posts hopefully will be less iconic.

This is a fantastic image. Gorgeous light and a (nearly) full moon to boot. Two thumbs up.

Some Milkweed seeds by the Chapel in Yosemite.  First if full frame and second is a rather severe crop.  Got to love 60MP and a great lens
